1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in the Treatment and Management of Injury in Sport

The course has been designed for candidates who are over 18 years of age and have achieved the Level 2 (Basic) Certificate in the Treatment and Management of Injury in Football.

It is also an essential requirement for Clubs in the Hellenic League where a minimum qualification of a Level 3 Certificate for the treatment of football injuries is being introduced. The qualification expands the candidates’ existing knowledge and experience in the treatment of injuries and may be transferable to many field-based team sports. The qualification may be used as a stepping-stone to further qualifications in sports therapy and successful candidates may seek employment as a football therapist for an amateur or semi-professional football club. A current Emergency Aid and Child Protection Certificate is also a requirement for candidates and opportunities will be provided for those who do not hold these qualifications to gain them during the course.

Candidates must successfully complete the following three units of study to qualify for this Level 3 Certificate: -

Unit 1 – Anatomy & Kinesiology of the Lower & Upper Limb and Code of Ethics for Therapy
Unit 2 – Evaluating Injuries Sustained Playing Sport
Unit 3 – The Treatment and Management of Common Injuries

The next course will be held at Greendown Community School, Swindon and structured as follows;
