The Wiltshire Football Association and the Wiltshire and Swindon Sports Partnership (WASP) are now in their second year of delivering their Disability Strategy alongside Swindon Town Football in the Community. The previous 2 years has seen the strategy deliver many sessions and given over 500 disabled footballers the opportunity to participate in a range of activities from fun based tasters, to competitive leagues.
The Disability Strategy is currently being co-ordinated by Adam Greaney. The co-ordinator’s role was seconded to Swindon Town Football in the Community as their close links with the Wiltshire FA and their quality delivery of disability football over the years could not be overlooked.
The previous year has seen the project grow and open new and exciting opportunities for footballers with different disabilities. On the toolbar (left) is a list of sessions and teams which the strategy is currently delivering.
The strategy is constantly looking to support new opportunities for disabled footballers so if you, or your club, would like to become involved in any way then please do not hesitate to contact Adam Greaney on (01793) 421303.
