The Wiltshire County FA Girls Centre of Excellence held their first ever End of season Awards Presentation Event on Saturday 2nd May 2009 at The Premier Club in Swindon.
Principal guests of honour presenting the trophies were former Swindon Town and Wales International player Paul Bodin, and also Billy Bodin, Swindon Town and Wales Youth International.
The main trophies, kindly donated by Mike Benson, County Hon. Secretary of the Wiltshire County FA and Representative on the FA Council, were “Special Achievement Award” and “Player of the Year Award” which were duly won by Under 16’s players Joni Warner and Leah Blanchard respectively.
Individual Award winners within each respective age group were as follows:
Under 10 Player of the Year: Georgia Clifford
Under 10 Special Achievement Award: Katie Donovan
Under 12 Player of the Year: Elle Berrington
Under 12 Special Achievement Award: Gemma Sheppard
Under 14 Player of the Year: Kelly Nightingale
Under 14 Special Achievement Award: Charlotte Williams
Under 16 Player of the Year: Leah Blanchard
Under 16 Special Achievement Award: Joni Warner
