L2 Management and Treatment of Injury

Are you interested in sports therapy in football? Well, now is your chance to do something about it as Wiltshire County FA in conjunction with New College invites applications from all individuals and Clubs who are interested in obtaining the 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in the Management and Treatment of Injuries.

It is also an essential requirement for Clubs in the Hellenic League where a minimum qualification for the treatment of football injuries has been introduced. The knowledge gained will enable candidates to develop an understanding of anatomy, The Code of Ethics for Therapy, pathology and recognition of injuries, basic treatment and management of injuries and injury prevention. The skills acquired in the context of football may be transferable to many field-based team sports. 

The 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in the Management and Treatment of Injuries Course – will be held at Greendown School, Swindon starting on Thursday 4th October 2010 from 1830 - 2130 and then Sundays 14th, 21st   and 28th October from 0900 – 1600. Wiltshire Football Association is able to offer a greatly reduced fee for the course of only £200.00 per student.

This qualification will not only provide opportunities for individuals to further their insight into football therapy but can also provide additional career opportunities for those who wish to work in football or the wider leisure industry. As students have to be registered with 1st4sport Qualifications it is essential application be made as early as possible.
