Primary Schools u11 Cup Finals

Stanley Park Sports Ground played host to the Wiltshire Schools Football Association (WSFA) Primary Schools U11 ‘Danone’ Cup Finals last week which also doubled up as the County ‘School Games.’

The competition saw schools from across the County grouped into three separate pools of Schools, Girls and Small Schools with all of the competitions culminating in a semi final and final.

WCFA's Football Futures Young Leaders were in attendance on the day, playing a pivotal role in the officiating of matches and administering of results and league tables.

The schools competition saw Gomeldon defeat Redlands with a penalty shootout needed to separate the two teams.

The small schools competition saw a final take place between Holt and Chiseldon with Holt defeating their Wiltshire counterparts.

The girl’s completion final was played out by Bitham Brook and Nursteed with Bitham Brook taking victory courtesy of a penalty shootout win and in doing so joining Gomeldon and Holt as the winners of the 2013 WSFA competitions.

All of the winning teams will now represent the County in the English Schools FA South West competition at The Fry's Club, Keynsham at the beginning of March.

A big well done must go to all schools competing in the finals with fantastic attitudes shown by all alongside many fantastic displays of footballing talent.
