Referee Promotion Applications

The 2016-17 Referee promotion season runs from 1st March 2016 until 28th February 2017.

The criteria for promotion is set out below and all applications for promotion must be sent to the Referee Development Officer no later than Tuesday 28th February 2017.

 

Criteria

Level 7-6 and 6-5

To be considered for promotion you must have:

  • Refereed at least 20 games, of which 70% must be open age football, and been an Assistant Referee on at least 5 games
  • Attended the necessary In Service Training evening and successfully completed the promotion exam
  • Received at least three assessment, and informed the County Assessment Coordinator of all your adult games each month (middles only)
  • Kept a log of all games you have refereed between 1st March 2016 and 28th February 2017 

Level 7-5

To be considered for promotion you must have:

  • Refereed at least 40 games, of which 70% must be open age football, and been an Assistant Referee on at least 5 games
  • Attended the necessary In Service Training evening and successfully completed the promotion exam
  • Received at least six assessment, and informed the County Assessment Coordinator of all your adult games each month (middles only)
  • Kept a log of all games you have refereed between 1st March 2016 and 28th February 2017

Level 5-4

  • Refereed at least 20 games, all of which must be open age football, and been an Assistant Referee on at least 10 games
  • Attended the necessary In Service Training evening and successfully completed the promotion exam
  • Successfully completed a fitness test at the start of the season and again in February 2016 (NB No promotion assessments will be carried out until you have passed a fitness test)
  • Received at least five assessment, and informed the County Assessment Coordinator of all your adult games each month (middles only)
  • Kept a log of all games you have refereed between 1st March 2016 and 28th February 2017

In addition to the above, candidates will be expected to attend the RA-FA training day, regularly supply the County FA with open / closed dates, along with answering all correspondence within the given time frame.
