Wiltshire Match Official appointed to FA Cup Final

Wiltshire referee Adam Nunn has been appointed as the reserve Assistant Referee (5th Official) at this year’s FA Cup Final Arsenal v Chelsea, on Saturday 27th May at Wembley Stadium.

Adam who started refereeing in 2004, move quickly up through the footballing ranks, to become a level 3 referee, and was then promoted to the Football League as an Assistant Referee before being invited onto the Premier league Assistant Referee list.

Two seasons ago level 3 referees were asked to select whether they wish to continue their careers as a referee or assistant referee, and obviously Adam choose the AR route and can be regular seen running the line on Match of the Day.

On being informed of his appointment Adam said “I am surprised but obviously absolutely delighted to have been appointed as reserve assistant on The FA Cup final. It is the biggest domestic cup final around the world and it is a massive honour to have been selected to play a part. It is the pinnacle of every referees career and I'm thoroughly looking forward to the weekend."
