Wiltshire FA is saddened to report the death of Council Member Jerry Welch On 19th November 2018, at The Prospect Hospice, aged 80 years.

Jerry was a loving husband to Glenda, a much loved dad to Madeliene, Melloney and Michelle, and an adored grandad to Harvey.

Jerry was a hugely respected gentleman in the football world, including The Swindon and District, Wiltshire Womens & Girls League and The Wiltshire FA.

Jerry joined the Wiltshire FA Council in 2000.  He served on many committees over the years including League, Sanctions, County Cups, Youth, Discipline and Development. Jerry also served on the County Matches committee where he served as Chairman for eight seasons.

Jerry was a well-respected member of Council not only in Wiltshire, but throughout the Counties in the South West of England.  He will be sadly missed.

Jerry’s funeral will take place on Monday 3rd December, 12.45 at Kingsdown Crematorium. Family flowers only but donations if desired in memory of Jerry for The Prospect Hospice, who cared for him so well in his final days.
