Wiltshire FA is delighted to announce the trial dates for the FA Licensed Advanced Coaching Centre (ACC) in Wiltshire. The ACC is a bespoke programme designed to support the development of elite female players across the South West of England from U12’s to U16’s for the 2020/21 season. 

Tim Hall, Football Development Officer at Wiltshire FA said, “The Wiltshire FA ACC provides a professional environment to allow elite female players to reach their full potential within the game and have the opportunity to progress up the Player Pathway. 

“The FA’s Gameplan for Growth, launched in 2017, has seen women’s football continuously growing, allowing up-and-coming female players to be identified and supported along a talent pathway.

“Our ACC is a specifically designed programme to support the development and progression of these future stars.”

As well as additional coaching, players can expect to receive 1:1 support from their coaches, additional opportunities for learning outside of training, player reviews throughout the season, support from FA members of staff around injury prevention and a Nike kit package. 

From the Wiltshire ACC programme, elite players can be selected to attend a FA Regional Development Programme (RDP) which involves Regional Hub Days and additional opportunities to attend FA Performance Hubs throughout the season. 

Tim continues, “Last year we had some great successes in the ACC with Talliah Keenan having an England U15 International debut, our goalkeeper Erin Foley moving to Bristol City FC and our twins Nalani and Alana Hunt getting selected for Southampton FC.

“We ask players to commit to weekly sessions which will be held on Monday evenings at the new home of the ACC, Green Lane Playing Fields in Devizes. We encourage players from Girls Teams and Mixed Teams to register as well as those who play football with their school.”

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work with other ‘elite’ players on a weekly basis and participate in a games programme alongside other ACC programmes and mixed Charter Standard Clubs.  

To be eligible for selection for the ACC, girls must be playing in an affiliated grassroots club during the 2020/21 season and be eligible to represent England.
