In 2016, Wiltshire FA set out an application process to find young people aged 16-25, who have a passion for football to become part of the newly-founded 'Youth Council'.
What is a Youth Council?
Youth Councils are prevalent around many County FA's now and the premise of these groups are to offer Young People who are our volunteer base in football a "voice". This can be done by empowering our young volunteers through in-service training events, rewarding and recognising those young volunteers, working with Youth Leagues and even conducting some insight research to help shape the way the County FA works.
Wiltshire FA's Youth Council vision is to: "Inspire the younger generation by creating a platform to express and enlighten young people by encouraging and supporting positive change to sustain a lasting effect on the football community in Wiltshire".
Wiltshire FA's Youth Council aim to create their presence on social media over this season, so they can support your communications.
The 2016/17 season is first season of the Youth Council and they are hoping it to be an exciting season ahead for them. Wiltshire FA are also looking forward to being part of this, supporting and developing the group over the season.
We hope to put in some member profiles as the season goes on, so you can look out for the members who will be supporting County FA events.
