The ESFA provide schools with an opportunity to participate in 34 national competitions held for boy’s, girls and young deaf students. The ESFA take great pride in all 11 aside competitions being held on either Football League or Premier League pitches providing an inspirational day for students.
The Wiltshire School’s Football Association also offer all County based Secondary Schools cup competitions within Wiltshire, with the Finals taking place each year in May.
The Wiltshire Schools Football Association also organise the Primary schools Finals, which take place in January each year.
In the lead up to the Primary Finals, District competitions are held with the winners of each progressing to the County Finals.
These District events are to be run by named people within that area, who should take ownership and organise the competitions for Primary Schools in that area and for them to send through their results to the Wiltshire Schools County Association Secretary, Tony Williams.
In Wiltshire there are three District associations who are affiliated to the English Schools FA as follows:
Salisbury, which covers Salisbury and Avon Valley, Primary and Secondary Schools, their District Secretary is James Gildersleeve.
Swindon have a separate Secondary Association with Clive Harding as the Secretary and a Primary Association with Steve Beale as the Secretary.
The other area in Wiltshire has different names according to age group. The Secondary age group is know as the Mid Wilts Association and has John Lambert as the secretary, with Primary schools association known as West Wilts with Emily Reynolds as the secretary.
It is these schools associations who provide a whole range of competitions at a local level from regular leagues to knockout competitions.
