Disability

Wiltshire County Football Association has long been dedicated to creating accessible playing opportunities for football players with learning and physical disabilities over many years.

WCFA support the delivery of schools festivals, club development and competitive leagues throughout the development of Disability Football across Wiltshire.

Wiltshire currently has 18 affiliated disabled football teams playing in competitive leagues both locally and nationally whilst also supporting several recreational sessions for organisations who are providing playing opportunities for footballers with a disability.

FA Talent Identification

Wiltshire County FA are delighted that we have been successfully granted licenses for both the FA South West Cerebral Palsy Regional Talent Centre and the Wiltshire FA Talent Identification Programme.  Both of these programmes will provide young talented players (U12-U16s) from across Wiltshire and the South West the opportunity to access the FA’s Disability Talent Pathway.

FA Regional Talent Centre – Cerebral Palsy

Wiltshire County FA are 1 of 8 Regional Talent Centre across the Country.  The purpose of this centre is to recruit young players with Cerebral Palsy deemed to possess the potential to progress within the England Talent Pathway and to place them in a developmental programme designed to support such progression.  The South West Centre trains weekly and plays a series of local, regional and national fixtures.  If you would like further information or would like to nominate a player then please contact jbswcp@gmail.com

Wiltshire FA Talent Identification Programme

FA Talent Identification Programmes (TIPs) will be utilised as environments to identify and signpost players to the ‘right’ environment at that point in time – from grassroots clubs through to FA Regional Talent Centres.  TIPs will run on a yearly basis to ensure that players can be viewed annually and kept in the Talent System.  If you would like further information or would like to nominate a player then please contact adam.greaney@wiltshirefa.com
