Wiltshire FA are delighted to announce the trial dates for the FA Licensed Girls Advanced Coaching Centre (subject to licensing by the Football Association).

The Advanced Coaching Centre provides talented young female players throughout Wiltshire and its surrounding areas with weekly additional training and fixtures, whilst still playing for their club.

Talented female players in Wiltshire are offered the opportunity to progress in football and access appropriate levels of coaching and support throughout the talent pathway, enabling the programme to reach its ultimate goal in producing elite female players to compete at international level.

An FA Advanced Coaching Centre is the pinnacle playing opportunity for talented players in the area and offers a direct opportunity to progress into international football.

The centre is based at Beversbrook Sports Facility, Beversbrook Lane, Calne, Wiltshire, SN11 9FL on the 3G Football Pitch and training takes place on Monday evenings as follows:

• U12’s (Year 6 & 7) - 6.00-7.30pm
• U14’s (Year 8 & 9) – 7.30-9.00pm
• U16’s (Year 10 & 11)- 7.30-9.00pm

Players must live within a 90 minute/90 mile radius of the training venue & player’s ages are based on school years from September 2017:

What does the ACC provide?

The Girls Advanced Coaching Centre provides girls at U12, U14 & U16 age groups with season long coaching (one hour and a half session per week) and fixture programme to support the development of talented female footballers from Wiltshire and the surrounding areas. It provides high quality coaching from FA Youth Award, UEFA B Licenced Coaches & FA Level 2 coaches.

The Wiltshire FA Girls Advanced Coaching Centre challenges the skills and development of players against other centres within the South West Region (Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Somerset) along with player mixed fixtures throughout the season. This ensures high quality competitive opportunities on a regular basis to challenge each player.

Training and games are regularly observed by The FA’s Regional and England scouts with elite players progressing through to The FA South West Regional Excellence Camps and England training camps. This is to ensure Wiltshire talented girls are given every opportunity to move up the female football pyramid.

This is the only FA Advanced Coaching Centre in Wiltshire and the only pathway within the county for talented young female players to progress to the England Youth and Senior Squads.

Phase 1 Trials

The Phase 1 trial dates are for players who were not in an FA Advanced Coaching Centre or FA Regional Talent Club during the 2016-2017 season.

We encourage all players to attend both trials where possible.

Saturday 8th July

• U12’s (School Years 6 & 7 from September 2017) –9.30-11.30am
• U14’s (School Years 8 & 9 from September 2017) – 12.00-2.00pm
• U16’s (School Years 10 & 11 from September 2017) – 2.30-4.30pm

Monday 10th July

• U12’s (School Years 6 & 7 from September 2017) –6.00-7.30pm
• U14’s (School Years 8 & 9 from September 2017) – 7.30-9.00pm
• U16’s (School Years 10 & 11 from September 2017) – 7.30-9.00pm

Phase 2 Trials (Invite Only)

The Phase 2 trials are for players invited following the Phase 1 trials and for player’s part of an FA ACC or Regional Talent Club during the 2016/17 season.

 Saturday 15th July

• U12’s (School Years 6 & 7 from September 2017) –9.30-11.30am
• U14’s (School Years 8 & 9 from September 2017) – 12.00-2.00pm
• U16’s (School Years 10 & 11 from September 2017) – 2.30-4.30pm

All trials will take place at Beversbrook Sports Facility, Beversbrook Lane, Calne, SN11 9FL. Please note all trials will take place on 3G so no metal studs allowed. Players should wear appropriate training wear and shin pads and bring along drinks and arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time to register.
