Football Education Programme

Football Academy for Sixth Form Students

Combine your passion for football with a full-time education and development programme, and benefit from an outstanding learning and teaching experience which will push you to be the best you can be, and set you on the path to establishing yourself within the sports industry.

Wiltshire FA has partnered with Devizes School & Sixth Form College to launch a post 16 education program which will be based at Green Lane Playing Fields in Devizes.

From September 2023, we are recruiting a squad of male players, in years 12 and 13 (ages 16-18), to be coached by a UEFA qualified coach and to compete in fixtures on a weekly basis.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for local players to take their game to the next level with an outstanding learning experience led by Devizes School. The programme offers a unique timetable for each student which is complemented by a football program delivered by UEFA-qualified coaches at Green Lane Playing Fields, the £ 2.4 million home of Wiltshire FA.

Students will be coached for a minimum of 5 hours per week and complete in a competitive national league alongside their studies. The program also offers a recognised coaching or refereeing qualification delivered by FA Tutors, a unique player pathway for every individual with local senior teams, full Nike training and match kit, and opportunities to develop personal skills both in and outside of the game.

Students be required to have a place at Devizes School and 6th form college accepted prior to the 2023/2024 academic year starting in September. School admissions info can be found here
