Female Coaches Community
At Wiltshire FA, we recognise the invaluable contributions of women to the sport, and we are dedicated to creating a sustainable future for females in football. Our Female Coaches Community aims to foster a supportive network that connects women from diverse backgrounds and experiences, encouraging their active involvement in football.
Our Female Coaches Community is designed to increase female representation across all levels of the game. We firmly believe that female coaches serve as inspirational role models, and our mission is to connect with and support even more of you. Whether you are already immersed in football or aspire to be part of it, we welcome anyone aged 16 or over to join our community.
Our workshops provide a platform for sharing your experiences and expertise, networking with likeminded people, and offering additional learning support. Whether you are a coach, referee, player, or administrator, there's a place for you to collaborate, learn, and grow within our network.
For aspiring coaches, we provide valuable guidance on gaining experience and the necessary qualifications to support your journey within the game. Regardless of your current qualifications or experience, our community is here to help you in achieving your goals.
If you're interested in joining our Female Coaches Community and becoming a driving force in the world of football register now to join our mailing list.
23/24 Season
To make these workshops more accessible to as many of our female coaches as possible, we have planned 4 sessions this season which will be held in different locations across the county. We will be focusing on two key aspects of football coaching as decided by end of season (22/23) survey:
Game Principles and Understanding the Game
These workshops will cover understanding the rules of the game and helping players gasp these concepts within training and matches. Stripping back the components of football rules and tactics and focusing on the fundamental basics of invasion team sports.
Practice & Competition: Objectives
These sessions aim to bridge the gap between practice and game experiences for players. With a focus on creating realistic training sessions which are directly related to the game and tailored to the specific age group you coach.

Ash Cornick, Football Development Officer at Wiltshire FA, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for females who are currently coaching or for those who want to find out more about coaching in Wiltshire to get together, network with one-another and share ideas amongst the other coaches in the group.
“The community will offer the chance for those interested to attend a mixture of events. Having Vicky Fisher leading on this is great for all the coaches and the participants will learn a lot.”
