Wiltshire Pan-Disability Football Festival
On Sunday 22 January the Wiltshire Ability Counts League will be holding a Pan-Disability Football Festival, which is open to both existing Wiltshire Ability Counts Teams and new players interested in getting involved in some of our Pan-Disability teams.
The Wiltshire Ability Counts League has been running since 2015 and prior to COVID had grown to 16 teams taking part in 6 festivals a season. Disability football nationally has been adversely affected by the pandemic, and Wiltshire is not exception, with participation rates still yet to return to pre-pandemic levels. As a result, the league has not returned until now. However, we are now hosting this open day to provide an opportunity for our teams and current players to play matches again, whilst also encouraging new players to come along, have a go and find out where their nearest disability sessions are.
The details of the event are:
- Sunday 22 January
- 9.00 – 12.30
- Beversbrook Sports Facility 3G, Beversbrook Lane, Calne, SN11 9FL
- Age groups: u12s (8-12yrs), u16s (12-16yrs) + Open age (16+ yrs)
The day will consist of a mixture of matches and some fun games. It will be about having fun, playing football and making friends and hopefully some new teammates!
