Penhill United

A successful season for Penhill United!

Congratulations to the U15's

The newly formed U15 team at Penhill United has finished top of the league and Wiltshire FA Cup Final champions!

With the backing of local partners and sponsors, the new North Wiltshire team was formed at the beginning of the 23/24 season and set themselves a target of competing in division one and aiming to finish in mid table.

Facing challenges of finding a suitable places to play in Penhill, the team found an available 3G pitch and set to work organising fundraising events and securing sponsorship to help cover the cost of the pitch fees. Local Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson has also been a great supporter of the team, hosting a successful quiz to aid fundraising efforts!

Penhill U15 Manager, Ashley Rowe said, “After a season of hard work, training week in, week out, the team won the Wiltshire FA U15 Minor Cup in April and went on to win the league by six points! I am incredibly proud of the squad, built on a strong foundation of community spirit with some great players, the team have demonstrated their talent, respect and solidarity each match”.

The foundations of Penhill United FC were laid back in 1981, and this has been a fantastic start for the new U15 side, we are looking forward to hearing more about their continued journey for many years.

To round off a fantastic season, the team is currently fundraising for a trip to Belgium in June, to take part in a summer tournament ahead of the new season.
