Walking Football
Walking Football - The beautiful game at a slower pace.
A minimum physical contact version of the beautiful game for men and women aged 50 years or more, which is also suitable for people who may have had mobility, fitness or health problems which prevents them from playing a faster paced game.
Following on from the success of Walking Football first being launched in October 2014 at Stanley Park Sports Ground in Chippenham, Wiltshire FA are pleased to announce that we now have recreational Walking Football sessions in operation at various venues across Wiltshire. On top of this, in October 2020, the first ever Wiltshire County Walking Football League was launched. Information on the recreational sessions and the league can be found below.
Playing the game at walking pace is a fantastic way to keep fit, it reduces the chance of injury and falls and also is a great way to meet new and like-minded people.

The Wiltshire FA Walking Football Festival 2024 - POSTPONED
In partnership with Practice Plus, Wiltshire FA is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a walking football festival this summer!
This year, the Wiltshire FA Walking Football Festival will take place at Wiltshire FA’s HQ, Green Lane Playing Fields, Devizes.
A new date will be selected and communicated.
Walking football brings back the memories of youth without most of the pain associated with exercise. Team sports assist you to get a bit fitter with the help of others - something that jogging or gym work does not!find out more
