The role of the Wiltshire Referee Academy is to support and develop a select group of referees who have been identified as having the potential to reach the higher levels of refereeing.

The academy also supports new trainee referees offering them mentoring opportunities as the complete their first 5 games and support to referees need some additional support with their refereeing.

The main part of the academy is based at Lydiard Park Academy Swindon and is run in conjunction with Swindon Town FC football academy. We are also looking to develop a second base at Melksham Town’s Oakfield site working with Melksham Town Youth FC & the Mid Wilts Youth League.

In addition, we also hold In-service events through the season at various locations around the County.
